Reggie May appears Saturday, August 26th at the Kenlake Hot August Blues Festival.
Originally from the New York City area, he's made Kentucky his home since 2001. He's been playing music since he was a kid... soul/R&B, classic rock, blues, jazz, pop, and more. He's backed up artists like Carole King and Alice “Tan” Ridley, and played in bands on guitar, bass and drums.

His style is a blend of many of his musical influences:
the smooth jazz of George Benson, the funk of James Brown guitarist
Jimmy Nolen, the searing rock tones of Carlos Santana and Jimi
Hendrix, the rhythmic grooves of session giants like Cornell Dupree,
Charles “Skip” Pitts and David T. Walker. His mellow baritone
voice recalls Larry Graham's vocal style, with an upper range reminiscent of Sam Cooke.
